NLEX Corporation has again been recognized for its communication campaigns and corporate social responsibility programs, bringing home one gold and three silver trophies at the 55th Anvil Awards.

Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards distinguishes programs and tools that meet the highest PR standards.

“We are honored to receive these awards that affirm our commitment to engage our stakeholders and create positive impact in the communities we serve,” said NLEX Corporation Senior Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Romulo Quimbo Jr.

NLEX won a Gold Anvil for the Kaligtasan sa Daan (KalSaDa) Road Safety Campaign aimed at promoting road safety awareness among NLEX-SCTEX host communities, schools, and other organized groups. The tollway company recognizes its duty to fulfill its vision of making a difference in its host communities by implementing a comprehensive education campaign that would develop a habit of practicing road safety.

The KalSaDA information and education materials also received a Silver Anvil in the PR tools category for inspiring students to embrace the fundamentals of road safety.

Two Silver Anvils were also given for the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 communication campaign titled “More than just a road, a game changer” and its special event component, the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 Stakeholders Tour.

Seeking to inform and engage the public on the new elevated expressway, NLEX Corporation launched a communication campaign, including events and tours, to banner Segment 10’s features and its socio-economic value. It also sought support for the company’s continued operations and expansion projects.

“These awards are for our customers who inspire us to create and execute relevant programs. We will continue to do better and do more for our stakeholders in the coming years,” NLEX Corporation President and General Manager Luigi Bautista noted.

The Metro Pacific Tollways group bagged a total of six Anvils, four of which were from NLEX and one Silver Anvil each from MPTC and Metro Pacific Tollways South Corporation (MPT-South) for the NLEX Road Warriors hype video and Drayberks safe expressway driving seminar, respectively.

NLEX now has 20 Anvil awards including a Grand Anvil in 2006 for its Integrated Communication Program for the New North Luzon Expressway.
