The rising agri and food tourism sector in the Philippines takes the centerstage at the NLEX “Tara Na Sa Norte” 2018 Tourism and Travel Fair which runs up to Sept. 9 at Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City.
Ranking government tourism officials, top executives of the NLEX Corporation, and various prominent travel and trade personalities led the opening ceremonies of the travel fair on Sept 7.
Organized by the NLEX Corporation, the builder and concessionaire of the 90km North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and the 94km Subic-Clark-TarlacExpressway (SCTEX), this year’s travel and tourism fair highlights the North Luzon as the major Philippine tourism hub which has drawn an increasing number of local and foreign tourists over the past years.
With NLEX and the SCTEX as gateways to the North, vast farmlands and various agritourism sites in North Luzon have been made more accessible to visitors and the business sector.
The three-day event features 90 booths showcasing different destinations, tourism products and services, crafts and souvenirs, and food and delicacies unique to each of the provinces in North Luzon.
