Agri-tourism destinations in North and Central Luzon can expect to get a boost as the NLEX Corporation, formerly Manila North Tollways Corporation, holds this year’s NLEX “Tara na sa Norte” Tourism and Travel Fair on 21-23 July 2017 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Ayala Center, Makati City.

Headlined by the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food chairperson Senator Cynthia Villar, the Department of Tourism (DoT) regional directors, and NLEX Corporation executives, the opening rites of the NLEX “Tara na sa Norte”  will underscore the potentials of farm tourism to create livelihood opportunities thus help further the economies of countryside communities.

“With vast farmlands, the North Philippines is rich in agri-tourism sites that offer recreational and educational adventures for both local and foreign tourists,” said NLEX Corporation President and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco, noting that “these destinations can be reached faster, smoother, and more convenient with the seamless road network provided by NLEX-SCTEX.”

Over 90 exhibitors comprising hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour organizers, and traders will offer exclusive deals and promotional rates to various North Pilippines travel destinations. Government agencies are also present to feature their programs and advocacies.

Aside from the special tour packages that are up for grabs, visitors to the fair can also enjoy delectable regional food products and avail unique souvenirs and crafts.

Fun activities presented by corporate exhibitors and exciting raffle prizes are also in store during the three-day event.

This 2017 edition of NLEX “Tara na sa Norte” is co-presented by the Department of Tourism –  Cordilleras, Ilocos and Pangasinan, Cagayan Valley Region and Central Luzon- Ayala Center, Glorietta and Ayala Malls and is also supported by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Poro Point Management Corporation, TIEZA, Maynilad and Victory Liner and media partner Business Mirror.
